Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 2025

1. Registration & Enrolment

1.1 Registration Requirements
All students must complete an official registration form before attending any class.
Parents/guardians must ensure that all personal details and emergency contacts are accurate and up to date.

1.2 Class Allocation
Students are placed in classes based on age, ability, and teacher recommendation.
TNBS reserves the right to adjust class times, teachers, or groupings when necessary.

2. Term Dates & Structure

2.1 Academic Terms

●      Winter Term: September – December

●      Spring Term: January – March

●      Summer Term: April – June

A total of 36 teaching weeks per academic year is guaranteed, though weeks may not be evenly distributed between terms.

3. Fees & Payments

3.1 Invoices and Payment Due Dates
Invoices are issued within seven (7) days of registration and sent to the registered email address.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that email details are current. TNBS is not liable for undelivered invoices due to inactive or incorrect email accounts.

3.2 Installment Plans

Eligibility:
Families whose term fees exceed AED 4,004 + VAT per term may request a three-month installment plan.
Requests must be emailed to marie@thenationalballetstudio.com  and confirmed in writing by TNBS.

How It Works:

●      Fees are divided into three equal monthly payments.

●      Payment must be made via post-dated cheques or bank transfer. Cash is not accepted for installment plans.

●      Full term fees remain due regardless of absences. Missed lessons are not refundable or discounted.

●      See Section 5 for make-up class provisions.

3.3 Additional Charges

●      Late Payment: Fees not settled within 30 days incur a 10 % late charge.

●      Returned Cheque: A Dhs 50 fee applies per returned cheque.

●      Bank Transfer Fees: Any bank transfer charges are the responsibility of the payer.

4. Attendance & Punctuality

4.1 Regular attendance is essential for progress.
4.2 Students should arrive 10 minutes before class. Late arrivals may be refused entry to avoid disruption.
4.3 Consistent absence without prior notice may result in losing the class place without refund.

5. Make-Up Classes & Absences

5.1 Cancelled Classes (by TNBS)
If a class is cancelled by TNBS (other than scheduled holidays), a make-up class will be offered.
Full term calendars are available on the website and pinned to the Facebook page.

5.2 Missed Classes (by Student)
Parents must contact the office to arrange a make-up class.

●      Make-ups must occur within the same term.

●      They may be used to try a different level or genre, subject to availability.

●      Unused make-ups do not carry forward to the next term.

5.3 Joining Late in the Term

●      Students joining within 21 days of term start pay full fees and may make up missed classes.

●      Students joining after 21 days are charged pro-rata, and discounts do not apply.

5.4 Injury or Long-Term Illness
With a valid doctor’s note, classes paid for may be held as credit until the student can return.

6. Uniform & Grooming

6.1 Students must wear the official TNBS uniform appropriate to their class level.
6.2 Hair must be neatly secured (ballet bun for ballet classes).
6.3 Jewellery, watches, and chewing gum are not permitted.
6.4 Proper dance shoes are required at all times.

7. Conduct & Behaviour

7.1 TNBS promotes a respectful, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
7.2 Students must follow teacher instructions, respect peers, and maintain discipline.
7.3 TNBS reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose behaviour is inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive.

8. Health & Safety

8.1 Parents must inform TNBS of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that could affect participation.
